YAY for a House!

The house hunting process was long and seemingly impossible at times.  We found homes we loved then they would sell way over asking price (like 40,000 at one point), we loved other homes but were hung up on maxing out our budget.  While we want a nice place that fits our needs, we never desire to be 'married' to our mortgage.  All the while we were really hoping for something lower in our budget but had to keep changing our priorities to fit the $$ it was very discouraging at times and when we finally found our 'home' we still wondered if we had made the right decision.  It was exhausting.

In the end we couldn't be happier with where we are at.  The ward is perfect for us, the neighborhood is nice and & Laex's school is within walking distance so its great.  It's definitely not our 'dream home' but it is perfect for us at this time. And we are loving Vancouver.

The movers showed up to unload our stuff on Friday February 27th, two days after we took possession of the home.  I had spent the previous days cleaning and prepping for all our stuff to arrive, it was such a welcome sight.  But also a bit overwhelming, you don't realize all the 'crap' you have until you have to move it - yuck!   In the end we are so happy to be in a house again!
