Visitors & Truck Pulls!

We don't often get visitors, so when we do, we get kinda excited :)
Last weekend the newlyweds (ha, ha) came to visit!  We had a fun weekend with them here and topped it off with a 'small town' Saturday Night at the Truck Pulls - Jed was in Heaven!

Yes! I'm getting 'plump'!  Only a few more weeks to go!

Miss Thang!

This little girls Cracks.Me.Up!  She LOVES to dress up and has already become quite the little diva!  We just Love her!

There he goes!

Last fall we took the training wheels off Laexin's bike and I've been begging & trying to get him to learn to ride without them.  One thing is for sure, he is like his mother, he has to be ready to do it HIMSELF.  Recently he's been talking about how he wishes he could be in a parade (random, I know) luckily for me it was the perfect opportunity to 'motivate' him.  The first week in August during fair week here in Grace they have a kids parade where the kids get to ride their bikes.  So I told him he needed to start practicing everyday so that he would be able to ride his bike in the parade.  That exact day he went out and took off on his second try!  He rode about 4 miles that first day, and he's barely got off his bike since :)  He LOVES to ride it and often rides out to the road and back which is a mile.
First Bike Ride with Dad!

Kenz gets hitched!

My little sis got Married the middle of June, YAY!  She has waited a LONG time to find the 'right guy' and we are all pumped to have Jed as part of our family!  They had a nice Friday evening reception at my Parents home in Vernal then we all headed to Manti for the Saturday Wedding.

Independence Day!

How blessed we are to live in a 'Land of the Free' - I love the chance to celebrate all we are so lucky to have!
LeGrand worked on the 4th but was able to meet us at the Soda Springs Parade where the kids made a HAUL with treats, toys, otter pops & even some change :) (one of the local grocery stores was throwing nickles!)

The kids and I then came home for naps and waited for LeGrand to get home from work.  Later in the evening we headed back to Soda Springs for dinner at the Article Circle (Kids were in HEAVEN!) and then to wait for the big firework show to begin at Kelly Park.  The kids had fun playing at the park and found some other friends to play with while we waited.

(4 more weeks till our little lady arrives!)

It was one of the best firework show I've been to - seriously amazing, the show went on for about 45 min. and the fireworks were awesome!

Summer Reading & Story Time

Idaho has a really fun summer reading program that the kids love to participate in.  We sign up at the beginning of June and read all month to get in our hours.  Each week we go to the library and the kids get a prize for working on their reading & at the end of the month they get a free swimming pass to Lava Hot Springs!

We also love to go to story time each week - Grace story time is okay but we've been going to Soda Springs for story time and it is awesome!

They learned about bugs and made butterflies & got treats

They learned about all the parts of plants and how they grow, got to plant their own sunflowers, make sprout houses & got flower windmills.

They learned about construction, had a blast climbing on and all over a fire truck, tractors & ambulance -  made construction hats & got tool water squirters.

Last but not least, they spent the last story time having a great summer party!  Slip-n-slides, shaved ice, popcorn & a beach pail filled with lots of surprises!
