NNOAC

On Friday night we enjoyed an evening with the neighborhood in the annual Neighborhood Night Out Against Crime (wow, that's a mouthful). The local police, fire and paramedics all get together and do presentations, police car rides, bike parade, fire engine exploration and more. Well, it just so happens that LeGrand just got called to be the "block captain" for our block, in charge of the neighborhood watch and preparedness (did you know that was a calling??) - so he had to help out, it was a fun time.

{Laex enjoying himself in the sweet new ride he got from G-ma and G-pa H. for his B-day}
{Trying out the drunk goggles} {K-9 Presentation}

{Life Flight}
{That's how Laex feels about all the noise and wind of an incoming helicopter}

{Some random Fire-Fighter dude, Yeah-LeGrands idea}

Splish * Splash *

We were outside while LeGrand was fixing the sprinklers and it didn't take long for Laex to realize how much he LOVES them!

{Laying on TOP of the sprinkler}

Needles to say the water alone got boring and he found more fun in the flower bed!

{Look how innocent he appears - what a stinker}

Now for his new favorite face this week.......

Dino's

Yesterday we went to check out the Dinosaur Mueseum at Thanksgiving Point. It was neat but would be much funner for older children as our little man just wanted to run all over the place amd destroy everything :)

show off!

My little man has become a real ham. We were at church on Sunday and he spent the majority of Sacrament Meeting "showing off" for the people behind us. They were nearly in tears as he danced, talked and cheesed his way through the meeting -- how embarrassing when your child is attracting more attention then the speaker, AND...we, the parents, couldn't even keep it together because he was being SO DANG fUnnY!

Yesterday we had lots of running around to do, he was in his seat a lot and thank Heavens for these moments...

Lately He's been entertained by the neighborhood kids, he'll just stand at the window and watch them, in fact he watched the neighbor boy mow his whole backyard - you never know what will entertain the kid.

What a mean Mom to not let him go out!

Riding his John Deere! What a kid!

Cheeser

Things have been a whirlwind here, and it isn't over!

Laex and I spent last Saturday in Roy attending darling Casey's Baptism. Sunday we got to visit our old and most favorite ward and have lunch with our great friends. And this week I've been preparing to have family come for the BIG BiRThdAy bAsH, and tomorrow bright and early we'll get cement poured - WOW!!

On top of it all I have this Son who turned ONE and now thinks he's "in charge" - ok, that's not really "new" (and frankly, he usually IS in charge) but he's like going on 15.

Quick story: I was sitting in the foyer at church during the second meeting on Sunday and a lady whom I don't know said to me, "Is he always this busy?" - um, yep! The kid never slows down. He doesn't walk anymore, he runs.

Last night we were at a neighborhood BBQ, my son was in everyones drinks splashing them all over himself. The kid is unbelievable sometimes. Despite it all, he cracks me up and his little personality just makes me melt. I can't believe how dang smart he is already.

So, his newest thing, to CHEESE when the camera comes out, take a look, it's hilarious. I realize he looks angry, he's not. And don't ask me what is up with the squinty eyes?!.Check out that hair and those teeth (6 to be exact). His hair is getting too long but LeGrand is determined to let him be shaggy...
