Snake, Sore & Slide

One day the beginning of July the kids called us from the house ...we were up working on the new house.  Saying they were basically trapped on the trampoline because there was a very large snake...sure enough!

We later figured out (after we had already killed it) that it was a blow snake which eats rodents, so we should've just left it alone but that thing was huge!

Loa had a couple stubborn teeth that was causing issues in her mouth so we had to get the pulled --she was a trooper

Sweet Janice Lowder invited us to her place so the kids could have a fun afternoon swimming...I'm sure she was feeling a bit sorry for us not really getting much of a Summer with the major house projects going on...we ended up swimming for almost 3 hours - the kids had a blast!

Linq Turns

With a birthday the day before the 4th of July we just turned Linqs celebration into a multi-day event!  It felt so nice to step away from all the house projects and spend some time together.

Sleeping on the Tramp!

We decided to try something new and went to the 4th of july parade in Pocatello...there was some sort of accident that stopped the parade just as it had started passing us and ended up delaying it an extra 30 min.  It was hot and the kids were extra done by the time it was finished!

We had planned to go swimming in pocatello but got to the place and their waterslide was closed down, so we ended up in Idaho falls.  The kids had fun!

We topped it off with Linqs choice...[basically all of the kids choice;)] Fuji steakhouse!

I think he had a pretty great birthday!

Finished with his own firework show!

And, of course, the cake he picked out for himself!  We sure love this kid!

June House Progress

Since the kids were gone a few weeks in June we worked our bums off.  From before the sun came up till after it went down.  SO. MUCH. TO. DO!  From baseboards and trim to lots of painting, door hanging and trimming, windowsills, outlets and lights, hanging wall paper, sanding and staining ....etc. etc.  by this point I was running on fumes and we were just anxious to finish up all the things and see a bigger light at the end of the tunnel.

Looking back now we really did start to see the place take shape during June...a lot got accomplished!

The highlight of my days in and days out of working was a visit from these sweet friends who came to check the progress and brough me a drink!

Lots of time spent at the house meant lots of opportunities to enjoy the amazing view!

Girls Camp & Youth Temple Celebration

Stake girls camp was the 3rd week in June, and because of all the work on the house I wasn't able to go and stay the night any did make time to go up a few days and it was awesome!  I just love girls camp, I actually felt really sad I wasn't able to stay.

The end of June we got to take our youth to Pocatello the the youth temple celebration.  It was an event for all the youth in the new Pocatello Idaho Temple district, it was an awesome event!
