Cade got Hitched

My little Brother, the baby of the family, got married in the St. George temple on July 14th.  The evening before they held a reception in Kanab (his new wife, Shaylee, is from there).  It is about a 8.5 hour drive for us from Grace to Kanab--we left on Thursday evening after LeGrand got off work and stayed with friends in Orem (THANK YOU Paige & Marnie!) to break up the trip.  The kids still got tired of sitting in the car during the remaining 5.5 hours on Friday so we made a couple of stops along the way.

Bryce Canyon

Moqui Cave

We enjoyed the reception

Had dinner with friends & family then drove the hour & a half to St. George --I was disappointed that it was dark because I really wanted to check out Hilldale & Colorado City as we drove through :) (that's the 'broadcast/media major in me, always so curious about everything!)  We stayed the night in St. George, attended the wedding the next morning & then the luncheon.

We were back on the road by 1:45pm --we had to make a stop in Saratoga Springs to check with renters moving out of our place and meet the new renters and we were back on the road arriving home around 11:00 pm.  It was a long couple of days, we would have loved to made the trip a little longer for as far as we had to go but LeGrand had to be back at work Sunday morning!

T-Ball

Laex loved his first year of T-ball, he was quite the 'Babe Ruth'!

Independence Day!

I love the 4th of July!  I'm glad for the reminder and opportunity to celebrate ALL of the amazing Freedoms we are so lucky to enjoy!!

We started our celebrations the day before with the kids playing in the 'foam' at the park in Soda Springs --Laex had a blast (as you can see), Loa wasn't half as enthused!

On the 4th, we all experienced our first parade here in SE Idaho (side note: in our area there are a bunch of little towns within 30 min. of each other, so each town kinda takes a holiday to celebrate so that it's not a competition --all of the 4th of July activities are held in Soda Springs)--The parade was pretty much a bunch of dance teams & fancy pick-up trucks advertising businesses, it did however last a whole hour.  It would've been a pretty boring hour except for the fact that everyone threw LOADS of candy (my kids filled a grocery bag) --I joked with LeGrand that this is the only reason they keep people interested :) [LeGrand had to work but got to join us for part of the parade]

We were planning to attend the firework show that evening in Soda Springs but because of the fire danger the show got cancelled so we got together with our awesome (and only) neighbors the Johnson's - had a fun BBQ & put on our own little firework show.

Grammie & Papa's

The kids and I took a trip to Vernal June 28th-July2nd, it's a long drive (close to 5 hours) but the kids did pretty good & they loved being in Vernal.
My parents left the 30th for a Cruise so we kept Kenz company the rest of the weekend :)  I got to go to the wedding reception of a friend from High School, attend the sealing of my cousins kids to her family & also their baby's blessing the next day followed by a family dinner.  It was nice to see and visit with everyone!  We also got to celebrate Kenz's 26th birthday :)

Laex & Loa took in as much of Grammie & Papa as they could for the time they were there!

They had a blast playing with Avi & Taite too!
