We've Got Land!

After what has felt like a million years of  knocking doors, continully getting turned down, and searching the valley over we found some land!  I've felt for a few months that is was time, time for our 'big break' yet we continued to get turned down.  We've talked to everyone we know, we've knocked on random strangers doors and nothing.  I was beginninig to wonder if my feelings were out of line, and really we were maybe supposed to move on from here.  So we started considering our other options, different jobs that might be opening out of Grace all while still pounding the pavement.  Finally we found someone with a large piece of land for sale, it was much bigger than we wanted so we were trying to figure out logistics and how we could maybe sub-divide the property to sell off the extra acerage we didn't want and help pay for it.  There were a lot of things that were making me feel uneasy, I wasn't sure if it was just all of the unknown with takeing a route like that or what it was but we were still working to  move forward, regardless.  In the meantime LeGrand said he felt like he should approach this older gentleman that owned some property, including a piece that LeGrand really liked (I hadn't even seen it yet).  He went to visit him and was told that it would be his kids decision because they are the ones who would inherit the land.  About a week later he called back and said they weren't making a decision so they wouldn't be selling at this time.  The very next day he called back and said his wife had told him he needed to sell to us.  We were thrilled, but to be honest...I was still nervous.  7 years of looking, it was hard to feel like it could be real.  We couldn't get the deal done fast enough :)  and it was a true testamet that it was the right piece for us, at the right time because we were able to get it surveyed and all the paper work ready and done so that we closed on the property in 10 days.  We are beyond excited!  When you work so hard and long for something, it just makes it that much sweeter.  We can't wait to build our family home and enjoy these amazin views every day.  We feel beyond blessed and can't deny God's hand in making things fall into place!

April Fools

We had to start out April with a fun April Fools meal...easiest meal of the year to get the kids to eat! Mash potato, pork roast and gravy sundaes followed up with cat litter dessert.

March Madness

Our month of march brought basketball tournaments nearly every weekend - we love watching Laexin play!  We started off the month with a tournament in Star Valley, it was a fun little getaway.

The weather 'kinda' started getting better and the kids had been begging to go fishing so we found an evening and headed out for some fishing...we caught nothing hahaha.  We did have some fun though!

And another weekend of Basketball, this time in Marsh Valley.  The power went out partway through Laexins game so we had to get creatie to entertain the kids.

We ended the month with the best celebration of all, LeGrand's 39th birthday!  He's officially enjoying his last year of 30's and I'm trying to figure out how in the heck we are already at this age.  We celebrated with a yummy dinner, homemade banana cream pie (which unfortunatly did not turn out how I hoped). I didn't get a picture, but I surprised him with his dream metal detector hopefully he will be finding lots of treasures :)
