January Blur

Over winter break I made everyone get out of the house and find a sledding hill, despite the lack of snow, ha ha!  We managed to find enough white stuff to have a good time for a couple of hours!

I had the opportunity to get back 'on the big screen' with a segment on Studio 5, it was a great time as usual!  I love sharing my love for creating and honing my broadcast skills!

January also brings Basketball!  Both Laexin and Loa have a great time playing - and I love watching!  Although sometimes it really brings out the competitor in me!

Laexin plays all the way through March and I didn't take one picture - maybe I'll get one before the seasons over ;)

Lytzi got to attend a little cheer day camp put on by the high school cheerleaders and she was in heaven!

The entire month of January was a crazy blur, not only were we busy with all these fun activities buy my little 'hobby business' completely BLEW UP!  I don't write much about it here, but I should!  I feel so blessed to be able to create every day and share it with people.  Not only is the extra money a blessing to allow our family lots of fun times together but creativity is an outlet and pure joy for me!  I had decided that this year was going to be a transition year where I was going to put some extra money into growing this little hobby into more of a business.  After three years of continual growth I felt like this was a great idea.  My January hit and my sales were through the roof nearly doubling my biggest sales month in 2019.  I was convinced it was Heavenly Father trying to show me what my new 'busy' would look like.  But something happened when the January rush started winding down...I had an 'ah ha' moment.  It was that I wasn't supposed to grow that big at all...that I wasn't nearly as happy being that busy and there was no way I wanted to try and keep up with that type of busy --at least not at this stage in my life.  I'm so SO thankful for this insight brought to me by the spirit.  I immediately pulled back from having people run advertising for me and have decided that I'm just going to let this little business do it's thing.  Some months are wild, some are slow but in the end it works for my life right now and provides that extra cash to give our family fun trips - which was what I always wanted from it.  I'm grateful for the guidance of the spirit and the peace that came once I did what was right.  Maybe in the future I'll pursue growing it again, but for now - I'm just going to try and enjoy it!
