X marks the spot!

Yesterday was a l o n g day.  By the time dinner was over I had a throbbing headache and Laex wouldn't stop bugging his sister.  When he bugs her, she screams. LeGrand was doing touch up painting and I was trying to get some things together for our RS meeting this week.  The kids were finally playing nicely in the other room.  I was enjoying the quiet so much that I didn't think it necessary to check on them - even though I should have.

I yelled to Loa to come so that we could give her a bath, her and Laex came running - she was jabbering pointing to her shirt, I wasn't paying attention.  Laexin being the unbelievably honest boy that he is said, "you're going to find a bunch of "X's" everywhere - but I'm not the one who made them" (with a smirk on his face- as he's holding an Orange marker) - I made my way toward the bathroom and this is what I found.

It didn't stop in the bathroom:

And the thing Loa was jabbering about on her shirt:

Apparently the "Treasure" is buried somewhere at our house!  Unfortunately for Laexin the only reward he got was a sore bum in the time-out corner and a rag to clean up every.single. X (he was scrubbing X's out of places I didn't even know they were :/ )

On a positive note, it was a 'dry erase' marker - so most of the clean up wasn't too bad (although for a 4 year old it was) --and the 'magic eraser' rescued us on the hard-to-get places.

Halloween Festivities!

Nothing like a holiday in a small town!

{My Spongebob & Honeybee!--don't mind my sweet windblown hair :/}

We started off the week with a Halloween party at Laex's pre-school, we made Carmel Apples for all the kiddos!

Then we hit up the annual 'Halloween Carnival' at the Elementry School --the kids had a blast!

Sunday before Halloween we had our spooky dinner of mummy pizza's and mummy fingers topped off with yummy pumpkin glazed donuts!

We also had a blast carving our pumpkins - I got lazy with mine and busted out the drill :)  Notice Loa's is a Tiara :)

On Halloween we had a Chinese dinner then went to the Soda Springs business Trunk-or-Treat and of course we had to Trick-or-Treat at some homes in the ward.

 {LeGrand is the king of random photos - who knows what I'm doing here :) }

Laex was so excited to get to dress up THREE TIMES!!

Fiesta!

Our ward had a fun Fiesta & Auction to raise money for the youth!  It was a great time with an authentic Mexican meal which we all couldn't get enough of!

LeGrand and I scored our family AN ALL INCLUSIVE WEEK VACATION on a LUXURIOUS HOUSEBOAT at BEAUTIFUL LAKE POWELL next fall --I'm SO PUMPED {I was born and raised in Utah and have NEVER been to Lake Powell!! -I know, ridiculous!}

Visitors

We haven't been here quite two months yet but we are SO happy that we've had some of our favorite people visit - it can get lonely here!

First we got to spend a couple days with Grammie and Papa - the kids had a blast, got spoiled and loved all the attention.  Dad brought us lots of great starts for our yard that we were able to get planted, We hung out, had dinner & checked out the Soda Springs Geyser and took a drive to Tremonton via Logan, to visit Dad's Sister, Aunt Paula!

**Dad had Surgery only 4 days before they arrived, he was a sport to put up with us:) **

Then we got an overnight visit from our Friends the Wickhams!  We've been friends for about 5 years and we always have a great time on our Wick-A get-togethers --it was so fun to have our first Wick-A sleepover :)
We had dinner from the Taco Bus :), Stayed up late playing games,  lounged around chatting & the boys had an awesome time finding treasures and playing with Patchy!

Thanks for the visits -Keep 'em comin!  If you're ever in our neck of the woods, give us a call, there's always room at the Inn :)
