Fair Week 2022

The kids always look forward to Fair week!  This year it landed the first week in August, we had a great time doing all the things!  The kids were in the kids parade - Loa spent a week before building this statue of Liberty float out of cardboard boxes and was so thrilled to win the 'best float' prize, cash!  Linq was happy to just ride his bike in the parade.

We hit the bounce houses more than once during the week - kids were living their best life :)

Of course we had our fill of fair food

The kids spent all their fair earning on ridiculous things --that's what fair time is all about!

Loa loved the freedom to roam the fairgrounds with her friends - totally turning into a teenager!

The kids had a blast selling their goods at the kids fair

LeGrand, Laexin and I had fun at the rodeo and we gathered too much candy at the grand parade - it was a fun filled week, and I was extra happy to just enjoy it without having to be in charge of anything :)

Laexin's 15!

It was a common theme at our house to ask for money for birthdays this year, Laex was no exception - what else do teenagers want??

We sure love this kid, of course he has his teenage moments but majority of the time he is just a joy to have around.  He loves his basketball, he still likes to hang out with us, he's easy going...he doesn't love to do chores but will ha ha and if I could just keep him motivated with his school work!  I honestly hate how fast he is growing up and often find myself just so sad that his 'at home days' are quickly flying by, just trying to do all the things in the next couple of years.

Lake with friends

We were lucky enough to get invited by our favorite neighbors and friends the Wilkersons for a day on their boat at Blackfoot resivor --it couldn't have been a more perfect day, the weather was amazing and we had a blast on the tube, swimming and eating!

Lytzi's 9th B-day

Lytz turned 9 on July 28th!  All she wanted was some money like Loa got and a day to go shopping - so that's what we did, just the two of us, it was a perfect day!  That evening her and Linq went to G-ma Susies because the rest of us went to the temple but we celebrated with cake the next day!  We love this chica, shes friendly, smart, girly, helpful and sometimes sassy - can't believe she's already 9!

24th + fluming

LeGrand had to work the 24th of July, so the kids and I headed to Bancroft for the parade.  As always we left with a candy stash to last until Halloween, ha ha!

Everyone had been begging to hit the flume at least once for the summer...in the end we went a couple of times in two weeks - they love it!

Visiting with Cousins in St. George

The weekend after girls camp we were so excited to meet up with Cade, Shaylee and the kids at an Airbnb in St. George and hang out for a few days --we had so much fun!

It was in the hundreds every day in St. George so we did plenty of swimming!

On Sunday we took the Hoopes to one of favorite places in St. George --up by LeGrands plant to the canal to go catching crawdads.  We finished the day with more swimming and some ice cream.  On Monday we were all on the road our separate directions headed for home - we were so sad to leave our cousins, we wish we could see them way more!
