T-ball

This kid is way into every sport -- he loves to throw around the football with LeGrand, kick the soccer ball, shoot hoops...and he LOVES T-ball.  He had a fun 'season' with all his little buddies!

He's quite the athlete!

I hit a milestone!

On June 11th I hit the BIG 3-0!  I sometimes still feel like I'm 17, but apparently I'm not :)  I never thought 30 would come, and now I'm here!

LeGrand is the BEST at coming up with great gifts/surprises for Birthdays (and every holiday for that matter)!!  This year he surprised me with a trip to park city where we stayed in a cute condo for the weekend, met up with some friends Thursday evening and then had a bunch of family who came Friday and stayed a night with us.  It was a fun way to spend the weekend!

Science Slumber Party & Memorial Day

LeGrand 'jokingly' said to Laex one day before school ended that we'd have 'science slumber parties' during the summer...he should've known better as this kid doesn't forget ANY.THING.  He held LeGrand to his word!
We started out the weekend with the 'slumber party', blow up mattresses, movie & popcorn!  They all toughed it out in the living room all night while I took my pregnant self to my bed :)

Then we spent a whole day doing 'science stuff' we did Mentos in Diet Coke, Shot off bottle rockets, made dough out of shaving cream & corn starch and blew up balloons with Baking Soda & Vinegar.

And we finished off the day with dinner over the fire!

During the rest of the weekend days we continued the 'science' with the vinegar & egg experiment & homemade ice cream in a bag --all were a BIG hit and Laex now wants science slumber parties every weekend!

Super Cool DAD!

We took a spur of the moment trip to Bear Lake on Memorial Day!

We enjoyed us a yummy LaBeau's Picnic (Complete with Bear Lake Raspberry Shakes!) --at a little park by the lake.  The kids and LeGrand took a little jaunt into the water.  The water was still quite cold and we didn't come prepared to swim so that is all they got :)

Then the kids got their energy out at the playground - I'm pretty sure LeGrand had as much fun as the kids!

Then back on the road to home!

Schools out!

I'm so behind...it's almost time for the new school year!

Laex had his last day of kindergarten at Grace elementary - if it were up to him, he'd go to school year round (and lets be honest, I probably wouldn't mind that myself :) --he really loves school and is looking forward to going ALL-DAY next year!
