Provo City Center Temple

At the end of January we went to Utah to attend the reception of Kenzie Harmon (one of my former YW). We also got to stay with the Dillons, have dinner with Paige and Don Beckstrand...and got to visit the open house of the Provo City Center Temple.  It was so beautiful!

When LeGrand and I used to live in Orem we got to attend stake conference at the once Provo tabernacle, so it was fun to go back and see it all transformed into a temple!

All bootied up!

With the Christus.

Checking out the fountain.

Winter Fun

I swear it snowed everyday for like 6 weeks straight this winter.  I know our valley needs the snow, and really I don't mind it as long as the temperatures don't get in the negatives.  I decided I need to learn how to 'embrace' winter since we'll be here for a long time.  The kids and I needed to get out so we headed to the gigantic snow hill at the elementary school (created from the plows continually pushing the snow into the same pile).  They had fun sledding the little hill.

Then, they've been dying to check out the huge icicles growing from the church...looks dangerous so we didn't stay much longer than to take some awesome pictures :)

Snowmobiling with the Youth

I sure love getting to serve with the youth of our ward, they are some of the best around!  We had a planning meeting in January where we rode snowmobiles (thanks to the Kunz's) to the Gilberts Cabin, had yummy chili, hot cocoa and cinnamon rolls, planned our activities for the year did a little sledding and snowmobiled back.  It was such a fun time and I'm so grateful for LeGrand's willingness to always happily watch the kids while I'm away.

Seeing the Elms

On January 2nd we got to meet up with the Elms, they were in Poky on their way back home from dropping their Son and Daughter-In-Law off at BYUI.  It's always a treat to see familiar faces and we sure do love these two!

Christmas in Vernal

We decided Christmas wasn't going to be very merry at our place so we planned to go to Vernal.  We arrived Christmas eve and had a fun family party at Heath and Megans.

Bubble Baths and Christmas PJ's on Christmas Eve.

The kids got spoiled rotten and had a super exciting Christmas morning.

I was so excited to finally get one of Dad's tooled leather pictures.

The day after Christmas Jed and Kenz came to town and met us at the tubing hill - we had a fun time! Later that afternoon Laex had to try out his new bb gun he got from Grammie and Papa.
