Growing Linqy, our First Snow & Idahome

Little Linq continues to grow like a weed and seems to be a bottomless pit so we started trying some solids in November.

(This picture is my favorite - a common scene when LeGrand is feeding, his mouth wide open trying to help Linq out.  Haha!)

Our First week back in Grace we got our first snowfall, I'm not sure I'm ready for this type of winter considering we spent nearly our whole winter in Washington last year and only had to deal with rain and 40 degree weather.

And then this happens and I remember what I love about Idaho - can't deny the beauty!

If only my 'Phone-Camera-While-Driving' pictures did it justice!

First Day of School (round 2- in Grace!)

The kids started school here in Grace on November 2nd.  They were both excited but Laexin was extra pumped to go back to Thatcher with all of his friends.  The minute we walked in the door he had people coming up to him so excited to see him then following him to the classroom - his report after the first day was that it was 'Awesome!'
(Had to get a picture of some of the friends and the student teacher!)

Loa was also excited but a bit nervous for a new school - after she got home she was happy to report that there were people in her kindergarten that she remembered from pre-school!  And going from full day to half day kindergarten has been an adjustment for me but she loves it!

(And this is Loa's only picture I got - of her hair...)

Halloween

It's almost surreal to think that we were back in Grace for Halloween.  I arrived back in Grace around 3, the kids had been having lots of fun carving pumpkins with Grammie and Papa. We got everyone all costumed up and headed to the fun Halloween House in Thatcher.  Loa was the only child that knew exactly what she wanted to dress up as this year, she started telling me months ago that she was going to be a purple ninja (what?!?) Luckily I just happened across this 'pink ninja' costume at Wal-mart and she decided it would work (whew!) Laexins outfit came from our stash and Lyzti got a hand-me-down :)

Afterwards we did a little trick or treating, then the older kids weren't quite finished so LeGrand took them to do more while the rest of us hung out at home.
