Halloweeeeeeen!

We love all of the fun events around Halloween in our little town!
On the 27th the Grace Elementary had their annual Halloween Carnival and Baked potato dinner - the kids love getting dressed up to go to the carnival. -Laexin hit the Jackpot at the Soda ring toss and won 28 cans of soda...It was a fun night!

They even had a LIVE fishing pond...which means we came home with 2 trout :/

Then on Sunday the 30th we had our Halloween dinner since I knew Halloween night would be busy - we had Meatball mummies, Spiderweb dip with chips, Candy corn fruit cups and Swamp juice.  The kids loved it!

Halloween landed on a Monday --I'm Laexins room mom so I helped with the school party

Halloween night we went to our favorite Halloween party house and had chili and got lots of treats then did a little trick-or-treating around town.

***I can hardly believe it, but this Halloween weekend marks 1 year since we've been back in Grace - on one hand we still really yearn for Washington and on the other hand we are so content and happy to be here in Grace!

Fish Farm

There's a fish farm here in Grace and LeGrand home teaches the people who run it.  We were delivering treats one Sunday and they asked us if we wanted to go check out the fish - of course the kids were so excited.  The farm is situated in the black canyon and it is beautiful!
The kids loved feeding the fish!

Laexin thought it was awesome to get to catch one of the bigger fish!

Abby's Baptism and a Youth Temple Trip

We were so lucky to be a part of the baptism of our sweet friend Abby!  This girl is so Amazing - I've loved watching her get so excited about the gospel.  She loves YW's and we love having her - she was so ready to be baptized and was so excited about her first trip to the temple.

A week after her baptism Abby joined us on our Youth temple trip to the Oquirrh mountain temple.  It was a beautiful day and awesome experience.  I love working with the youth in our ward - I feel like it's the best job in the church.  We have such amazing, strong, faithful youth and had an awesome time on our trip!

Australia!

About 6 months ago a great deal popped up on tickets to Australia, round trip for under $600.  LeGrand called me from work to tell me about it and we decided this was our opportunity to go :)  Dad served his mission in Sydney nearly 40 years ago and has never been back...he's talked about going his whole life just never went, so we called up and invited my parents to go--I couldn't go to Australia and not invite Dad.

Our trip finally arrived the end of September - LeGrands parents flew in to stay with the kids the two weeks we were gone, we are so grateful they were willing to come.  The trip was a fantastic time in a country that's so easy to love.  In two weeks we were barely able to skim the surface and we look forward to returning someday (hopefully taking the kids).

I'm making a separate photo book for our vacation so I'll just post a couple of pictures here and give all the details in my other book!

Oma, Opa & Potatoes!

The kids always look forward to potato harvest, they love getting two weeks off!  LeGrands parents flew in on Sept 21 to come watch the kids while we went on our trip to Australia and it happened to land over harvest so we took them to the potato shack and for some free fries.  JG and Heather had brought them up so they came with us too :)

We love Stoddard farms and look forward to our yummy fries every year!  Funny side note, we found out when we got home that LeGrands parents took the kids for free fries almost EVERY.DAY while we were gone, ha ha!

Grace Homecoming!

Things like Homecoming are kinda a big deal here in Grace :)  The kids were super excited to go to the 'tailgate' party and watch the homecoming game.  There were lots of fun things to do, they had a blast!

(Face painting!)

 (slides!)

(Rides!)

 (Bumper Balls!)

They enjoyed the football game for like a minute, ha ha.  We were lucky to make it to half time!

GO GRACE GRIZZLIES!!!
