Florida FUN!

We took a fabulous trip to Florida the first week in June.  We were SO grateful that Kenz and Jed offered to watch little Lytzi for us, it made the trip SO much easier and enjoyable and she got spoiled & had a great time with them!

We spent the first 4 days (June 3-6) at Disney World!  We were able to stay at Helinfield and Ed's home in Orlando which made it nice.
Our first stop was Magic Kingdom!  We had breakfast with the "Winnie the Pooh" Characters at the Crystal Palace, saw a few princesses, rode lots of fun rides, ate yummy food, saw amazing parades & enjoyed every minute!

 Just my observation, but this Tangled girl could double as Flynn Rider :)

Pirates, arrrrrgh!

Our second day was spent at Animal Kingdom!  We loved the Nemo show, the Yeti Coaster, got soaked on the rapids & had fun seeing the animals!!  Afterward we stopped at Downtown Disney!

Third day was Epcot! Fast track was one of our favorite rides of the trip, both kids loved it!  It was a long day of walking and the kids weren't really into epcot too much so we finished up early this day and hit the pool in Ed and Helinfields neighborhood.

Last day we were in Hollywood Studios.  We rode tower of terror numerous times along with rock'n roller coaster and loved the Fantasmic show!  It was star wars weekend so we were drowning in Star Wars fans but we loved the star wars fireworks!

 Kids were in HEAVEN to meet Phineas and Ferb

LeGrand's Mom arrived while we were here, we haven't seen her in a long time as she usually doesn't get to accompany his dad home with the missionaries.  It was fun to have her to visit with too.
  On Saturday the 7th we went to New Smyrna Beach and had a fun day playing in the ocean!  Afterwards Helinfield and Ed took all the kids and headed home and LeGrand and I found us a delicious all you can eat seafood buffet in Daytona.  We really enjoyed our yummy dinner looking out over the ocean!

Of course LeGrand had to do some 'Treasure Hunting' :)

Sunday we had a nice relaxing day at church and hanging with the family, we all took much needed naps to catch up on sleep!

Monday we left the house around noon and hit a few stops on our way to the airport to head home!

We had a perfect trip, the weather was amazing the whole time and we didn't have any hic-ups besides Loa running a fever for about 36 hours (which was probably due to her LICKING the hand rails at Epcot, crazy woman).  Oh and our flights getting home were delayed so that we didn't pull into grace until 4:30 am!

On Tuesday morning we met Kenz and picked up Lytzi!

MAY

 May was a crazy month for us!  I spent a girls weekend out-of-town with Mom, Kenz & Ramey, shopping till we dropped.  It was fun for me to get away alone, I'm not sure when the last time was I got to do that!

Laex had all sorts of fun happening at school for the last few weeks.  He got to go to the jump zone in Logan for meeting his Accelerated Reader goal and he got to go to Pocatello on a field trip, to the zoo and museum. 
Two days before school was out he had a field day at school, LeGrand was off work so I got to spend the whole day at the school helping with field day.  The weather was perfect and it was a fun day!

Toward the end of May we had a great surprise with the return of a Taco Bus to Grace, yay!  Last fall it left and we have been missing it, luckily they must have found a replacement and the food just might be even better than we remember - we love the Taco Bus!

I had to get prepared for my Studio 5 segment in June since we were going to be gone for a week, so I spent a day getting chimes made - I let Loa make some shrinky dinks and she was in heaven.  She informed me she 'loves crafting', takes after her mom!

I about died one day Loa was in the laundry room getting her shoes on and came running in yelling that there was a SNAKE in the house, eeek!  I went to find this thing just hanging out between the dirty laundry and the railing- gross.  I hate snakes, and it totally creeped me out to have this thing in the house.  I have no clue how it got in.  We have had to deal with way too many dang mice in the house which I HATE but a SNAKE, thats like ten times worse.  I called LeGrand and made him come home from work to get the thing out, in the mean time I told the kids not to take their eyes of the thing - I didn't want it getting away :)   LeGrand made it home and caught it and figured out it was just a garter snake and the kids thought it was so cool they each took turns playing with it before we released it far out in the field - yuck!

EASTER 2014

We had a fun Easter weekend despite the fact that LeGrand had to work. 

The kids and I hit up the fabulous Grace Easter Egg hunt, LeGrand met us there on a break from work.  They made a Haulin like always!

We went on a fun Easter picnic, played some birdie golf & some metal detecting :)

And had a nice Easter Sabbath!
