Chuck-E-Cheese

It all started when I was in NY and LeGrand took Laexin to the place kids love :)

Ever since, he's been begging to return --he talks about it WAY too much, but, I don't think their pizza is that good and frankly they are overpriced.

I came across a coupon for 100 tokens for 10 bucks -so here was our chance!

Turns out those 100 tokens last a 2.5 year old TWO trips to TWO different Chuck-E-Cheeses (with mom and dad using up most of the tokens :) ), unfortunately he now thinks that Chuck-E-Cheese should be a daily activity, but I've had my fill :)

Break Dancin

{apparently you're "cooler" if you practice in your underwear -lol}

This kid is a hoot!

After watching a recorded episode of Mr. Rogers, where the neighbor boy comes over and shows some break dancing, he now thinks he's a break dancer. And since he's already becoming a "Pro" LeGrand is adding to his "dance knowledge" by showing him "real" break dance videos AND having him check out Napoleon Dynamites "sweet moves" at least once a week --he's so dang smart that he's catching on quickly - LOL!

2009 -2010

Unlike most of the things I've read, 2009 was a GREAT year for our family.
No everything wasn't perfect, but I believe life is too short to dwell on the negative and we couldn't be more blessed to have a healthy, happy family, a good, secure job, a nice warm home with vehicles that run well in a land that is FREE and the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I believe that too often people focus their efforts on the bad that comes their way and forget about the blessings of each day and the blessings that come from trials and hardships.

I'm looking forward to the excitement of a New Year and the things that will come our way!

LeGrand and I decided to start off the New Year with something that is NEW to us! I've been dying to try putting together some freezer meals to eat throughout the month, hopefully to save some money, time and energy. So with lots of motivation we jumped in with both feet and spent two days planning, shopping and cooking and we officially have a freezer packed with approx. 25 meals, all of which can also be eaten as left-overs for at least one day! We'll see how it goes but I'm super excited knowing all I have to do is go to the freezer the night before and pull out something to thaw overnight then stick it in the oven when I'm ready to cook it --this might become a monthly occurrence :)

Throughout this year my main goal is to get myself and my family PREPARED, spiritually and physically. Up until now I've tried to do small things to be "ready" but I know that there is much more that needs done and that there will be a time when we won't be able to depend on others, it's our responsibility. I'm looking forward to getting my house in order!

From Christmas to...

NEW YEAR --2010!

Wowser, I've been SO checked out!

Christmas was Great this year! We got to spend a few days in the "frozen tundra" (Vernal) and enjoyed our time eating and playing lots of games with family! Laex is finally catching the concept of Santa and had a blast getting spoiled. We also Really enjoyed one of our best gifts which was to talk to Elder Hoopes - He's turning into a fine Man and is blessing the lives of many through the gospel, we're very proud of him and can't believe we're approaching the YEAR mark, WOW!
We also had a very successful "Homemade" Christmas of which I was the lucky recipient of a beautiful picture drawn by my very talented brother (Trev) and LeGrand is also very proud of his new scripture cover created completely by my Dad and Laex is absolutely loving his art easel made by "PaPa" --We got so many great gifts those are just a few of our favorites!

The week following Christmas was busy getting Decorations down, and cleaning up! We enjoyed a nice quiet New Years with a little sledding!

Laex is officially going on two weeks in underwear! YAY! Though it's still an adventure -He hasn't had any sleeping or night accidents and has also taught himself to pee standing up or as he would say "like daddy does it" BUT in the last couple of days he's decided that pooping in the toilet isn't "cool" and I'm having to deal with the accidents - NOT FUN! Oh well, he is on his way and we aren't turning back :)
