Loa turns 13!

We had a little early birthday party for Loa on our trip and she really wanted to have a party with her friends since this was her last year to have a Birthday here.  She planned the whole thing and I just provided the food :) She wanted sushi stacks since that is her favorite - some of her friends weren't that sure about it but they all loved the dessert :) She has a great group of friends that she is really going to miss.

Loa has such a fun personality she always has a smile on her face, she has a way of making everyone feel loved, she's witty, smart and fun ---and also can argue her case to the end of the world, ha ha!

Hair Cuts + Snow Damage

This never-ending-winter meant that the dogs were extra shaggy by the time I got them in to get their spring trim, especially Couver!  When I went to pick them up I didn't even recognize him and totally thought he was someone elses dog - ha ha!

I've started noticing around town that quite a few people had some damage from all of the snow - the old Elementry school is all caved in and Opa's old house lost its patio cover...it was a doozy of a year for the snow.

Easter + A trip to the Oregon Coast

Always picking on his brother!

The begining of April the kids had a couple of days off for spring break and it ran right into Easter so we decided to make one last trip to visit my parents on their mission --after discussing it we thought it'd be fun to meet up on the Oregon coast for a little break - I invited all of my siblings but the only one who came was Kenz, she brought Dellah but Jed had to stay home.

We were excited to spend a couple of days in Vancouver and see our friends - we had made arrangements with the Elms to stay with them and then found out the week before that they were actually going to be out of town - - we were SO bummed to not get to see them, but of course they were nice enough to still let us stay at their place!
The littles had fun playing in their backyard and hunting down slugs to kill, ha ha!

We got to spend some time with the Davenports which is always fun, sadly Lynn was at his grandparents in Boise becuase his grandpa has passed away.  And we only got to see some of the Burnett kids because Janet and Logan were on a trip to Mexico with Maya who had just gotten off her mission, so we didn't see any of them.

After a couple of days at the Elms and visiting our friends we made a stop in Portland for YUMMY food trucks and our favorite Salt & Straw ice cream then on to Seaside OR to meet up with Mom and Dad.  Kenz was supposed to fly in but had issues and had to wait to come the next day.

Of course we continued with the never ending winter and had rain most of our trip - but we made the best of it and as soon as we hit Seaside the kids had to hit the beach!  Loa was a pro at drawing beach dragons and everyone else was all about the treasures :)  The guys never found anything great with their metal detectors but we did find lots of fun shells and ocean creatures.

The next day Mom and Dad went back to Portland to pick up Kenz and Dellah and we got to chill at the Airbnb --Lytzi went with them, she was so excited to see Dellah!

Mom and Dad decided they wanted to do the kids easter with them that afternoon so they all got their baskets from Grammie and Papa and Dellah and Lytzi had fun doing makeovers with Lytzi's makeup!

Loa really wanted to have an 'early Birthday Celebration' so she picked out cupcakes and we sang ;)

The next day we decided to head to Cannon Beach to explore, it was the only day where the rain was supposed to stop and the weather be a little nice, so we needed to take advantage of it!  We made a few stops along the way, had fun checking out the shops in Cannon and eating yummy lunch!

The next day it rained all day, we played games, colored easter eggs, did an indoor easter egg hunt, went into seaside and checked out the shops and ate more yummy seafood.

The next day was Easter Sunday, the kids hunted for Easter baskets, and the kids really wanted to go to the beach one last time so we decided we were going for a polar plung --our family were the only ones brave enough to do it, ha ha!

It was FREEEZING but so fun!  I'm glad we did it!  We went back to the house and got all showered up, had a fun easter egg hunt with a little lesson on the meaning of easter and we had a yummy lunch of ham, potaotes, deviled eggs, salad and cheesecake - mostly prepared by mom.  Then we spent the afternoon relaxing.

We were on the road bright and early Monday morning because we had to make it back to Pocatello to pick up Maggie - it was a fun trip!
