May your Sweaters be UGLY & BRIGHT!

I've always wanted to have an Ugly Sweater party, no better time to start than now :)  So we hosted our first Ugly Sweater party!  I was kinda bummed because more than half the people we invited weren't able to come so it made for a small party but we still had a great time with a yummy soup bar dinner, Paklava for dessert, a white Elephant gift exchange and visiting with good company!

Our Awesome neighbor Nick won the 'best sweater' receiving the award of the night - Adult footed PJ's!

Christmas is coming....

We've really enjoyed getting ready for Christmas this year & we've received a visit from Christopher the Elf - that crazy Elf is always up to something :)

We decorated 3 Christmas Trees - the small white one has all of my Grandmas Old ornaments on it!

We made these for our neighbors & LeGrand's co-workers:
{In the baggie is Chapstick, Cough Drops, Emergen-C & Hand Sanitizer}

After years of trying I was FINALLY successful making this:

We've been reading a Christmas Story or watching a Christmas Movie every night of December.
We attended a fun Ward Christmas Party.
Laex wrote an Awesome letter to Santa. (of which I forgot to take a picture)
We got a fun advent calendar from my Visiting Teachers with an activity to do everyday - Laex has loved it!
I've done ALL of my Christmas shopping online & LOVED every minute :)

Now we're gearing up for our First Annual Couples Ugly Sweater Party --can't wait!

Transformation

I've been keeping busy making our new place a 'home'!  As much as I love to decorate, it really has been a riot for me to do to this place whatever I want :)  I'll hopefully be able to show some full room makeovers soon, but for now here are a few things I've been up to!

Flocked Wallpaper on the CEILING {and LeGrand still loves me :)}-in the Living Room:

Giving Thanks!

This year we headed "over the river & through the woods" to Grammie & Papa's for a Thanksgiving Feast! -It's about a 3 hr. LONGER drive for us now, making for a l o n g day in the car.  We were all happy to arrive in Vernal!
We had a great few days staying with Trev & Ramey, Eating lots, playing games, shooting and staying up late!  The cousins had an awesome time playing together!

We have a family tradition of buying a stocking gift for every member of the family, we usually open them on Christmas eve to empty out the stocking for Santa.  Well, this year since we won't all be together for Christmas we did 'Thanksgiving' stocking gifts.  We all bought gifts to represent what we're thankful for about each person, as always,we had a fun time opening the gifts!

On our way home from Vernal, we spent a night in SLC to break up the trip.  We made a quick trip through the lights at Temple Square (it was chillllllly), and had a yummy Indian dinner!
