1st Cookout & School groundbreaking

After two weeks of being gone, we were happy to be home - and the kids were happy to be home too!  They spent most of the two weeks in Vernal at my parents house, there's just nothing like home!

They loved their Vietnamese and Hong Kong souvenirs :)

We got to attend the groundbreaking for the new Elementary School we are getting here in Grace.  We are SO excited to have a NEW school for the kids, we have LOVED our little old schools BUT it is long overdue to have a school without electrical issues, mold, plumbing problems, tiny rooms and things falling apart.  The kids had fun taking turns digging their own dirt :)

We also had good enough weather for our first cookout!  We love us a good hot dog roast, topped off with S'mores!

Hong Kong + Vietnam

On April 10th we left on a trip of a lifetime!  We got to visit Hong Kong and Vietnam.  On this two week adventure we saw so many amazing things, ate delicious food, and met incredible people.  We expected to have a fantastic adventure but we weren't expecting the way the trip would change us.  It was unlike any trip we have taken, we came back different.  We were so humbled by the way some people live, and they are happy!  We fell in love with Vietnam!  It was a trip that will stick with us forever.  (I'll be documenting all of the details in a different book)

Spring Break, LeGrands B-day and Easter in St. George

LeGrand got to go to St. George over our spring break, which also happened to take in LeGrand's b-day, Easter and Conference weekend!  We thoroughly enjoyed the nice weather!

We played at the park

 Hiked Dixie Rock

All these crazies and their dad squirmed through the narrow, I got claustrophobia just watching 😩

We played at more parks

Loa's birthday was coming up and she wanted to celebrate while we were in St. George by going to the arcade - not sure if LeGrand or the kids had more fun :)

We also got to visit the art festival

Go to a small easter egg hunt

And do more swimming!

 And more swimming!!

We spent LeGrands Birthday tagging along with him at work, the kids love lizard hunting and exploring along the way.  And we all got to listen to conference in the car!

LeGrand caught a pretty big lizard and they all had to take turns holding and petting it until it got away.

Then we stopped for Birthday Banana cream pie at Crenshaws - he said it's one of the best he's had and he isn't easy to please in the banana cream pie department!

The kids got to do a little Easter craft at Michaels and make slime.

Then we snuck away to Mesquite where we visited our friends Wynn and Neta Thomas who were down there for the winter, then we went to all you can eat prime rib and sea food buffet for LeGrands B-day, we were stuffed!

Made it back for a little night time swimming for our last time as the next day was Sunday and we were headed home

We finished our trip with some early morning Easter in the hotel then LeGrand helped us get packed up and we were on the road for home.  It was nice to have the kids contained in the car and get to listen to conference all the way home :)
