We got Loa a transfer to start the school year at Frenship high school. She was doing well but got really interested in attending the Talkington girls school so towards the end of the first half of the year we looked more into it and she got all the application stuff ready. We went to visit the school thinking they would let her start there the beginning of the next school year. She was so happy when they offered to have her start there after the Christmas break. So after the holidays she started school at talkington. The expectations were harder which pushed her academically and she had to wear a uniform so that was a change but she was excited about it and quickly made friends.
Ironically I had been contemplating having Lytzi change schools. The middle school they put her in was about 15 minutes from our house and kind of a pain to get her to and from school PLUS she was struggling with finding good friends. And, looking ahead to the next year, I knew Linq would join her in Middle School and we had several friends from church in the closer school. I inquired about the switch and they said I could do it mid-year. So, unexpectedly both girls changed schools after the Holiday break. They both did great integrating into their new schools!
