Loa's BIG 16!!!

For Loa's 16th Birthday I sent out messages to all of our friends out of town and told them to send her a Venmo ($.16 or $1.60) just so her Venmo would ping all day showing her all the Birthday Love.  It was a HUGE success!  She had SO SO many people send her generous birthday money and lots of birthday venmo's all.day.long!  We went to dinner at Ikes, which she chose because she was in the mood for Mac and Cheese :)  That evening I had a surprise open-house for people to stop by, have a treat and wish Loa a Happy Birthday.  The highlight of the day was her school friends showing up --thanks to her friend Annie for inviting all the people I didn't know how to get a hold of.  In the end, I think she really did have one of her best birthdays ever!

Loa brings so much fun to our family.  I love her quick whit, her quirky personality, her artistic abilities, her fierce love for her people and the way she is maturing into such a beautiful person.  She was really hoping to get her drivers license BUT turns out Texas is making her hold a learners permit in their state for 6 months before she can get it (but it's probably a good thing for her to get more experience considering she cut off a cop and got pulled over on the way home from the DMV getting her Texas permit, ha!)
