We're here!

Our first couple of weeks in Washington were crazy!  Due to overbooking the Residence inn that we started in was full just three days after we got here so we had to move to a different one for one night then back to the original.  I was so happy to get settled and unpack our stuff and make ourselves 'at home'.

We've now been here going on 6 weeks and we are D O N E.  It's nice that they have breakfast everyday and clean our room and change our beds but we are pretty sick of the food and being cooped up in these four walls - they also feed us dinner on Monday, Tuesdays and Wednesdays but we're getting sick of that repeated food too :)

For what seems like Forever we've been on the hunt for a home - the company has a home at the Merwin plant that we were planning to move into, BUT the more LeGrand learns work in and outs and the more we get used to being close to all the conveniences, the more we feel like we should live more south - either Ridgefield or Vancouver.  So we started focusing our search in those areas.  The market is crazy, prices are high and we have been so discouraged so many times, not know if what we were trying to do was even right --but in the end we were able to find a house the beginning of this week and are set to move in on February 28th --it's not everything we hoped for, but it's most things and we feel really good about it.  And I'm PUMPED to know I have a home to move into :)

LeGrand is getting used to work - it's not the same but he's getting the hang of things and still loves what he does.  He commutes about 40 minutes everyday, I don't love it but it doesn't bother him - when we get moved into our house the commute will only be about 30 min.

Laexin is getting used to and starting to really like his school in Woodland - I'm sad we will have to move him once again but am glad he is so adaptable.  I have to make the 30 min. commute everyday to get him there then he rides the bus after school to the hydro plant and rides home with LeGrand.

The girls and I are surviving :)  we try to keep our days busy with shopping, making treats and I'm doing Loa a little 'home' preschool which she loves.
