Okay, maybe not that smart BUT, my pre-preschooler never ceases to amaze me with his smarts. He sucks up everything like a sponge, and doesn't forget one thing - I've always said he's so smart because he took in everything while he was in the womb and I was attending BYU full time (I had him two weeks before finals!) --I used to be joking, but now I'm not --He's smart and it didn't come from me & LeGrand says it didn't come from him either :)
Anyway, we went to In-N-Out the other day and they gave me one of their cute sticker sheets - ya know, stickers on one side, scenery on the other, stick the sticker's where they go kinda deal. Well Laex was in the back being good as could be with his stickers and THIS is what he handed me when he was done...seriously, he's only 3. With the exception of the upside down In-N-Out truck everything is perfectly placed, the sign, the waitress, the cars in the drive up, the Menu, the people, the food... amazing!
Then a couple of days ago I asked him to write PaPa a note, I told him the letters and he drew them {except for the "P" right in the middle that I obviously did :) } Then he drew people on the back, he says they are two grammies and two papa's :)
SMARTY PANTS!
Love you buddy!

Loa!
Little missy had her 1 year check up!
She is off the charts in height at 98.8% and she weighed in at just over 22 lbs! She is developing such a fun personality - we just adore her! While we were away she decided to get walking :) She isn't a pro yet but we often catch her standing up in the middle of the floor and taking about 6 steps before she gets so excited that she's out of control and falls down!
She has a funny quirk - she points with her birdy finger - lol! Someday she'll die from all of pictures that we have of her "flipping us off". It's actually quite comical when she's mad because she always has that finger out!
She never really caught on to sign language like Laex did, in fact she almost refuses to do it even though I know she knows how. She just has to scream and we give her what she wants because we don't want to hear it --I know, spoiled rotten!
She's a girl through and through. She got her shots at her appointment and she just stuck out that lip and started sobbing like someone broke her heart - Laex he just screamed and then was over it. She is already extra emotional, oh no - we are in trouble!
Easter & A Cruise!
It's pretty pathetic that I blog like once a month --I'm trying to get better!
I've been extra busy with Liv'N Chic (if you haven't visited the website DO IT, and make sure you LIKE us on FB) and I decided that the ONLY way I was going to get a break was to disconnect myself :) -plus we needed some family time together, BAD! SO, we booked a Cruise! Technically it wasn't TRUE family time because Loa stayed home with Grammie and Papa {I'm still feeling a little guilty about this} -in my opinion it just wouldn't be fun for us or her if she came so we let her stay home & get super spoiled by Grammie and Papa!
Friday April 22nd Loa headed to Vernal with Uncle Cade. Then Saturday we hit up an Easter Egg hunt in the morning and headed to the Airport in the afternoon {we were flying buddy passes so we were just hoping to get on our flights and not miss the cruise - but thanks to my great friend Paige we didn't have a bit of trouble!} --After a night of flying we finally arrived in Ft. Lauderdale! Laexin was bouncing off the walls he was so excited!
We Spent the week on the Royal Caribbean Allure of the Seas (the world's biggest cruise ship to date!) And the Ship was AMAZING - It had a Carasal, Ice skating Ring, Splash park Rock walls (2), Zip Line, Flow Riders (2), Aqua Theater, Central Park, Basketball Court Mini Golf...-They have what is called the "Dreamworks Experience" so we got to hang out with Shrek, Kung Fu Panda, Madagascar & How To Train Your Dragon Characters all week! Laex Loved it! We went Western Caribbean which LeGrand and I have done before on Princess, we weren't impressed with the stops we made on this ship but really we went for the ship-and it was a cruise, how can you not have fun!!
We explored the ship!
We Mini Golfed, and Mini Golfed some more!
We ate, too much :)
We swam!
Laex hung out with the 3-5 year old in the adventure ocean club, they had different themes everyday - he did dinosaur activities, became a pirate, went on fuzz buzz walks, played trains, watched puppet shows, had a circus party...
We watched some great shows including a "How to train your Dragon Ice Show" and a "Madagascar" Aqua Show, along with "Chicago" the musical (wouldn't recommend it), a good comedy show and others! We took a glass bottom boat & Snorkeled (what do you feed fish in Mexico? Tortillas, of course!), Chilled on the Beach, Had Coconut Juice straight from the coconut and a taxi ride we'll NEVER forget.
We had the BEST state room attendant and Laex loved the towel animals, a bat, a monkey, an armadillo and a dog!
We had some good laughs -anyone who has cruised before can attest to the amount of drinking that happens - you've probably also seen those bags full of alcohol people carry around {honestly who needs a six pack with them all.the. time?} anyway, we nick named it the "Burse" {beer-purse:)} We also ran into Sasquatch one day at the pool, this man was hairier that I could even imagine anyone could be, ewwww.
We had at least an ice cream cone a day - most days two :) --who can resist all you can eat frozen yogurt?
Best of all we soaked up the sun in the PERFECT weather!
On our way home we had a L O N G layover in JFK, if you know me you know my love for NYC --I couldn't help myself, we jumped on the subway and LAex had his first experience in the city! It was short but we did see "Michael Jackson" and the "Singing Cowgirl" and have some pizza! --The city just excites me! I love it!
We had a BLAST! But, it was nice to be home -and Loa was sooo happy to see us!
