....and the rest of May

On May 17th we woke up to a dusting of SNOW...crazy stuff covered my peas!

Sunday selfie to send Dad since he was still in St. George

These two crazies are ALWAYS leaving funny selfies on my phone!

We had our last YW activity before our senior girls graduated.  It was SOOOO sad to see Cali and Nikki go, they are such great girls we will miss them SO much!

On his way home LeGrand stopped and picked up our newest family members...Oreo and Daisy our miniature fainting silky goats!  We love them!

Mom and Dad came to visit May 26-28 and took Loa home with them for a week - that made her missing the last two days of school so we took a end of the school picture before they headed out.

After much contemplating and looking we decided to buckle down and tackle the project of building a coop for our growing chicks - Dad helped so much while they were visiting then LeGrand was able to finish up the coop.  It turned out so cute...now to add a run!

St. George!

LeGrand had what we thought was a week of work in St. George - he left on Tuesday May 9th.  I took the kids out of school half a day on Thursday May 12th and we headed to join him.  Our plan was to follow him home on Tuesday the 16th but while we were there he got a call and had to stay another week :(   We crammed all we could into our few days there!  We played at the park and did plenty of swimming - I think the kids were in their swimsuits nearly every day!

With Legrand off work between 2:00-3:00 everyday we didn't have to spend very much time entertaining ourselves before he joined us :) I even got a little shopping in one day with out too much complaining from the kids!
We spent one day tagging along with LeGrand on his 'route' - it was fun to see what he does and get to visit his plants in veyo and gunlock.  The kids loved exploring, and catching lizards.  We nicknamed Laexin the lizard whisperer when the lizard he was chasing jumped onto his back and just calmly let all of the kids hold and pet it - the loved it!

Later that day we grabbed food at viva chicken - which was SO good- and had a little pic nic followed by fun at Thunder Junction park.

The following day was Sunday May 14, Mothers day!  The kids and I went to the St. George Temple visitors center and walked the temple grounds

The kids gave me their cute Mothers Day gifts that they made in school!

When LeGrand got home we visited pioneer park where we walked around and looked at all the plants and critters then did a little hiking - the kids were excited to hike and I was glad it wasn't too hot :)

Brave Laexin squeezed through this slot canyon and made it all the way to the top!

Monday was our last day there and we decided to check out snow canyon.  The kids and I had fun hiking and seeing lots of cool rock formations and filling our shoes with plenty of red sand to carry home :)

It's hard to see but laex hiked clear to this little cove - he was determined and made it all by himself!

Of course we had to have one more swim in the pool!

We always LOVE our time in St. George - it was nice to getaway and warm up for a few days :)  It's was so sad to leave and not get to have LeGrand come home too!  The drive wasn't too bad and the kids were troopers!
