Independence Day 2017!

Like most years in the past, LeGrand was working over the 4th so we headed to Soda to the festivities and he met up with us -- the kids did the fun run, even Lytzi ran nearly the whole thing.  Then we had the parade and got loaded with candy!  It was a nice hot morning :)

That evening we lit off fireworks at the house.  The kids wanted to pick out their own this year so that is what we did!  Laexin's really into the 'lighting'. They could hardly stand to wait until it was dark enough outside so we started with pop-its, smoke bombs and sparklers!

Little Linq wasn't quite sure about things at first, then he was loving it until he grabbed a hold of the hot sparkler...poor guy got a nice little burn on his fingers.

Linq turns 2!

Our little Linq man turned 2 on July 3rd.  He's such a chill, easygoing kid.  He loves his siblings and is easy to please.  About the only time he gets upset is if he's hungry --he gets his hangry-ness from his mom :).  We just love this guy to pieces!

He was pumped about his new bubble blower and his birthday balloons - such an easy kid!  Thanks to his older siblings for keeping me on track he also got a birthday cake with candles to blow out!

He's quickly catching on to some new words, his favorite thing to say is 'car', 'ball', 'mama', 'dada', 'err' (means water, or really any drink).  He recently started calling his blanket his 'num, num' and loves dragging it around.  He would play outside all day and night if I let him - he loves playing with his siblings.  We love this little guy so much!
