And then we move...

Literally 3 days after arriving home from TX the movers showed up to start packing up the house --it was a whirlwind couple of days as we said goodbye to our Patchy dog (who luckily is headed to live on a ranch which he will love and we are thrilled about!)...

Watched our house get packed up and the next day loaded up and hauled off and we were left with an empty house, much like it was the day we arrived in Grace.  My heart was so heavy and sad.

In those last couple of days while LeGrand finished up work we had so many people step up and bring us meals and stop by to bid farewell and the great Norm and Nina Johnson had us come stay in their basement for two nights -so many acts of service from so many wonderful people.

We had a fun 'New Years Party' with all the Johnsons, yummy food and games - said our goodbyes which totally sucked, slept good then got on the road nice and early Jan 1st for the next adventure and chapter in our lives, driving out of Grace pulled at my heart strings - a part of us will always live there.

We took an 8 hr drive, with a stop in Boise to have lunch, and settled down for the night in Pendleton OR.  On the 2nd we drove the rest of the way to Vancouver -stayed one night at the Best Western, then 'moved' into our Residence Inn.

Off to Uvalde TX for the Holidays

I arrived back in Grace at about 2:30 am, packed/re-packed everyone for our holiday trip to TX and we were back on the road by 6:00 am.  We finally arrived in San Antonio around 7 pm and made it to Uvalde about 9:30.

We had lots of days of relaxing and catching up, cooking and eating & letting the kids play.  On the 21st Mom & Dad arrived and on the 23rd Kenz and Jed arrived - then we were all in Texas!

On the 23rd we took the kids to Sea World - it actually ended up being about the coldest day we were there, guess we didn't plan very well --but everyone were champs and we still had a good time!

We had a laid back Christmas eve with yummy food and games and a visit from the Pajama Elf!

(And of course I had to make the traditional Borsch)

Kids putting out the Reindeer food

We had a fun, enjoyable Christmas morning and lunch

 - then we were on our way back to San Antonio headed for home --arrived back in Grace in the early morning hours of the 26th.

It was such a great trip to visit with family - we really got to relax and enjoy ourselves, I'm so grateful we had it planned and 'had' to go because it was the perfect time to get my mind of all the crazyness that was our life at the moment.

My little dancer & my talented Pianist

Before our trip to Washington Loa had a fun holiday dance recital where she danced to a 'frosty' song.  She was really loving dance & I'm so sad we have to leave it!

While we were in Washington Laex had a holiday Piano recital - I also LOVE his ability to play and having such a great teacher, so sad to leave these opportunities behind :(
LeGrand took a great video, but I have no pictures!
