The missing penny

Sent Laex for a nap, went in a half hour later to check on him because he still wasn't sleeping. I walked through the door and he said, "Mom, I swallowed a money"!
Me, "What money?"
Laex, "The one I found on the ground at the store, and was in my pocket."
Me, "Buddy, that's why we don't put money in our mouth."

So...when LeGrand got home, being the treasure hunter he is, he put his prized detector to good use! :) Sure enough, there's a penny in there!

Timp Cave & Bridal Veil

We were excited for LeGrand to have an extra day off for the 24th so we headed on another adventure in Utah! - We had a picnic and played at Bridal Veil falls and hiked to Timpanogos Cave and took the cave tour. That is one hike - nearly straight up for a mile and a half in 95 degree temps, tiring :) Laex went more than 3/4 of the way all.by.himself - he was a trooper! The cave exploration was fun and the hike down was a bit easier!

Back in the groove...

It's only taken me 3 months to feel like I'm getting back to normal --and really, I'm not completely back to normal but at least I'm making progress! It feels nice to be able to FINALLY find some time to do some things I WANT to :)

3 Months!

I'm loving this little lady more and more each day! She's SUCH a happy and mostly content baby! She's "talking" a lot, smiling all the time and on the edge of laughing - I love it!
She also LOVES her brother!

Let the FUN begin!

Summer has FINALLY started around here!
This year we (I) decided that instead of a BIG Far-Away vacation with a 2-month old (No-Thanks), we would take advantage of all the FUN things around our Great State! --there are so many things I've never done that are right here!

We kicked off our FUN this past weekend with a Carnival (those things rip-you-off, but Laex had a blast and that's what counts!) and a Wick-A (a SUPER FUN night where the Wick's and A's get together - started years ago and only gets better! Thanks Friends!)

































































































Then, a visit to the Zoo (through Laex's eyes {he was always one step ahead of us}-see pictures), a stop at Su Casa for a trip down High School memorie lane for LeGrand, and finished off with a couple of hours at Liberty park or "Mom's Park" as Laex would call it :) - Not everyone gets a park named after them ;)

We had a fun day with the cousins from OR and FL and Ouma and Oupa! We visited the Children's Museum and had a Pic-Nick at the fountains! So Fun!

July 4th!

Our 4th was memorable!
We got a visit from Ouma & Oupa (from NH) and Helinfield, Ed and the Kids (from OR)
AND we got to celebrate independence day at the Balloon Festival and Parade
AND Best Of All, Little LoaLin got blessed!
