Linq happenings

I finally gave in and got Linq a haircut since his 'mullet' was getting a little long.  I have a good friend who so willingly came over and did it at our house - I hate how grown-up they look after you cut off those baby curls.

We were at LeGrand's shop cutting some wood one day while the older kids were gone and he found this lawn mower and couldn't get enough of it!

One day I caught him with his sisters shoe on carrying this pink purse around the house, he was loving it, ha ha!

Valentines Day

Valentines Day was a bit crazy around here.  I helped with kids parties at school then JG and Heather came to town so we hosted dinner for them and Oma and Opa.  Loa was excited to have 'heart' hair and even more excited that no one in class had the same one :)

I let the kids pick out what valentines treats they wanted to give then I helped them come up with cards to attach - they turned out great! 

 The Sunday after Valentines Day we had our Valentines dinner of Steak and Coconut Shrimp - we usually like to have crab but weren't very prepared this year --no one seemed to mind :)

I tried to take a cute pic of the kids before church but I can never get them all to cooperate!

Swim and stuff!

In February the two girls had swim lessons and Laexin did swim team for the first time.  Lytzi was SO excited to have lessons for the first time and every week she'd run straight to the basket of goggles and pick herself some, put them on and sit at the side waiting to start :) 

Laexin's now a good enough swimmer he was able to do swim team - it was really good for him, it pushed him to work hard and helped him improve.  We had to take a break during the Month of March because of Basketball but he'll probably be back to it after that.

On our last day of Swim it was snowing like crazy - I though the Lava Hot Springs swimming complex looked so awesome covered in snow!

The scouts had an 'around the world' pack meeting and asked Opa to speak about South Africa, it was a fun time!

We have had the craziest year of weather.  During the 3rd week in February the weather warmed up so much it melted all the snow - it was in the 40's then for a couple of days it rained and then it started snowing again.  I was so crazy created a complete mess out of our yard and road.  Our road was just running with water like a river and the field looked like a lake then of course it turned in to a complete muddy mess!
