Check-ups!

We've had quite the time getting our insurances all switched around since we got here.  The kids were in dire need of check ups and we were finally able to get in the end of January.

The girls both had to get shots but were pretty good sports (it's amazing how a sticker makes everything better ;).  They gave them these cute little hospital gowns to wear so we had to take pictures!

First visit to the Oregon Coast!

We got lucky and both LeGrand and Laexin had MLK Day off so we headed for our first visit to the Oregon coast which is only 1.5 hrs away!

We visited Cannon Beach and saw the famed 'haystack rock' - (also seen in the Goonies movie) so much more amazing than pictures can depict!

Of course the kids couldn't help themselves, even though it was only about 63 degrees they still rolled up their pants and ran in the water - they are really looking forward to summer at the beach :)

Then we drove south down the coast, grabbed some yummy lunch of fish n chips and a crab roll in the little town of rockaway, so yum!

Then on to Tillamook where we visited the factory, sampled lots of cheese and ate delicious ice cream & headed for home.

It was the perfect day with the sun shining and we had a memorable first visit to the coast!
