Linq has been asking for years to play baseball. When we were in Texas all I could find was really competitive leagues so when we got to Tennessee I started looking and just happened upon this little league team so I signed him up and it has been the best! We got so blessed to be on a great team with a fantastic coach who is so patient and kind with the boys, who teaches and corrects them but also encourages them and helps them have fun and love the game. Linq would come home from school and tell me all he could think about all day was going to baseball practice because he was so excited!
They are the Orioles and are having a great season. Linq was so afraid to hit the ball that for the first few games he would just get up there and freeze. I started telling him I'd pay him $20 if he hit the ball, well he finally did and made it clear to 2nd base and even cooler another dad on the team chipped in an extra $10 for him. He is getting braver and braver and his skills are making great improvements!
