Isle of Palms beach trip

We were so excited to fit in one last trip to the beach with the Moss and Morrow families.  It couldn't have been more perfect, we played our hearts out in the sand and water and joined the extended family at their family get-together - - so many great memories made!

 We LOVE the Carolina coast!

We are gonna miss this!

By the time the end of the school year rolled around it was clear to me that we were to return to Grace for Laexin to finish his Senior year - the feelings were so mixed but I knew without a doubt that we needed to go. The kids were all thrilled, LeGrand wasn't. He didn't want to leave at all.  He still hadn't found a job but we got the opportunity to start a business out of TX in the oil field where he will run equipment rental for the oil and gas plants - thanks to Trev for the insight and helping us get going.  Ideally, moving to TX was probably the best plan, but no one wanted to move somewhere new and the kids said if we were leaving SC they just wanted to go back to our Idahome.

So, we put the house for sale by owner first thinking that we would just stay until it sold and we went into summer trying to soak up all of the time with our amazing ward family and friends!  We were so excited to start the summer off at the lake - some of our best memories have been made here.  I just wanted so badly to bottle up these days, knowing we were having many 'lasts'.

Linq got a chance to do a soccer camp with the Moss kids at Chapman, he had a fun time!

We discovered the river that ran by the library and took the littles to go play there, they loved it and could play for hours!

So much of me just wants to stay, our ward is something we have never experienced we truly love each member of the ward as if they were family.  Inman ward is special!  We love so much about SC, but the people really made it - and the weather - and the time to grow as a family. Its so hard to leave something so great, and at the same time we have missed many things about Idaho that we are excited to go back to. We know it won't be the same, but for the kids we feel like it is the best option.

Critters

It was fun for the kids to experience the South Carolina critters, Linq found this baby turtle in the lawn one day and was so so mad that we wouldn't let him keep it.

One day they came upon this giant toad in the yard...we also had a little toad living under the downspout that the kids would check on everyday :)

They MADE IT!!!

There were days that were excruciating, my Mama heart broke as each kid went through their own hard things - I wasn't sure I could survive the school year, so many new things, so many hard thing, tears, fighting, begging, and days that felt like years ....and before we knew it, we were at the end!  They DID IT!  They endured, they got tougher, they fought through the hard, pushed through the uncomfortable and succeeded in making it to the end of the school year.  I'm so proud!  But I'm even more grateful that God sent us the South Carolina, that he gave us these hard things, and allowed us these opportunities to grow and become better.  I think we will look back at the hardest year of our lives with appreciation, because in the end it was THE BEST year!

We celebrated with all you can eat sushi!

Lytzi did great at her end of the year Orchestra concert - she had an awesome year learning to play the Viola.

Awards for both littles were on the same day at the same time, so LeGrand and I divided and conquered!

We sure LOVED Mrs. Crocker!

Lytzi also had her year end dance recital - she had fun taking dance with Sadie Moss!
