Sure enough he had a broken wrist, with a fracture that went from his wrist up his arm about an inch. We left the doc with a sling and were able to go the next day and get his cast on. He though the cast was pretty cool and couldn't wait to have everyone sign it. But after a couple of days he realized it wasn't that cool and learning to deal with writing and doing things with his left hand (because he's right handed and broke the right wrist) was a pain in the bum :)
He had to keep this huge cast on for two weeks then went to a shorter cast for two more weeks then just a brace for two more weeks then finally was done.
He was so happy to see the wrist healed up perfectly and he could get that thing off - not that it really hindered him as he admitted a week after he got the cast that he had been playing soccer at school, and he was back on his skateboard within a few days :/ --The one thing he was really disappointed about was that he could no longer play on his soccer team.
The girls favorite thing about our visits for casts was getting to see and play with 'Mr. Bones' :)
