The girls and I would often check out new stores and things around, this particular day we found an educational toy store, the girls thought it was the funnest ever - I'm not so sure the clerk was thrilled that we were just hanging out playing there :)
We took our first real venture into Portland (Laex was in school) and stopped at the famous VooDoo Donuts - the experience was fun and I'm glad we were there at an 'off time' so we didn't have to stand in line because the donuts were only 'ok' in my opinion.
A few days later we just happened to be driving by Krispy Kreme when the 'Hot' light was on - the kids were in heaven watching the donuts ( I can't believe my poor kids have never been to Krispy kreme during 'production hour', poor deprived things:) )
Our awesome realtor gave us free tickets to the movies (mostly because he felt so bad for us all trapped in the motel :) ) we took the kids and saw Paddington - Movie was okay, but the kids had a blast!
We spent lots of afternoons at the basketball/tennis court letting the kids run their energy out! Lytzi loved to swing on the rope!
