One of the BEST things about being back in school was getting back to sports! Laexin decided to play football this year for the first time since 4th grade. He loves football, but has been nervous about getting hurt...do you blame him, he doesn't want to get smashed 😵
Turns out, he is a pretty good player --he had some amazing first couple of games where he scored a touchdown at both of them and some major turnovers. Then he lost a bit of his confidence and got nervous and had a couple of crappy games but ended the season with an amazing game fighting like a champ in defense with some great tackles, making a touchdown and a 2-point conversion!
I got to help chaperone a end-of-summer/back-to-school party at the Clegg's pond with Laexins friends --two parties at the pond in two weeks! They had a blast!
Back to school looked so much different for most of America. We were so blessed in our community to go back to school with NO restrictions. The kids were THRILLED, as was I. These kids need to be in the classroom and with their peers and teachers - it was an extra happy day!
