At the very.last.moment...literally days before he left, we were able to fit in family photos on the Texas Tech campus. The weather was great and I couldn't be happier with how the photos turned out!

Last fishing Trip
Laexin had P-day on Saturday and got to have one last fishing trip with his dad and Chris Brown down in Gale TX...they KILLED it! Said it was the best fishing they had done there - tons of fish and reeling them in all day!

First Friday Trail
Laexin was having Home MTC classes late on Friday evening so we snuck away to the first Friday art trail and had fun checking out all the creativity!
Becoming a Missionary + Home MTC
On August 31st, Laexin was set apart as a full time missionary, seems like he's been waiting for this moment his whole life! Our stake president, President McCombs was out of town so his two counselors, President Hart & President Bray came and did the setting apart. One thing that President Hart said stuck with me...He said that in a lot of ways a mission is the most worry-less time of your life - a time where you really don't have to stress about paying bills or a job or what life decisions you have to make but just get to focus on an serve the lord and the people!
Home MTC started on Monday Sept. 1st, Laexin met his companion - from the Dallas TX area, Elder Ford. It was a lot of online learning together, and hanging with his parents :)

Home MTC was realllly long some days and went by quicker on others, he was definitely ready for the real MTC by the time his 10 days was up!
