End of June happenings

We had a ward party the end of June and I looked over to see Linq and his clan (Gracie, Kate & Jace + Laney) --the were all holding a limb hauling Linq around --it was the cutest!

Between our visit to the East and the one to see Grammie and Papa the two littles had swim lessons with Suzy, we just love Suzy!  Lytzi officially graduated from lessons and Linq is able to jump off the diving board and get to the side of the pool --he probably only has a couple more years and will be good to go!

Lytzi also got really good at the rock wall!

The Library had a end of summer reading party complete with foam---the kids had a blast!

Bring on SUMMER 2022!

We had so many fun plans for summer that we couldn't wait to get it started!  I'm going to put together a separate book for our adventures but we started the summer with a trip to the East Coast, South Carolina beaches, driving through Georgia and ended up in Pigeon Forge Tennessee at Dollywood with our cousins - it was the BEST time!

We were home for about 10 days then off on our next adventure to visit Grammie and Papa on their mission in the Yakima WA mission, they are in Cashmere - it was so fun to see where they are living and all the great things they are doing.

After about 7 days home we were on the road again --this time we met up with Cade and Shaylee and the kids in St. George.  We hung out at a Airbnb in St. George and swam our hearts out in the southern Utah heat.

It has been the funnest/quickest summer of our lives - we have made the best memories!

End of the School year

The end of the school year is always an exciting time - it brought concerts and parties and field day and all the things!

These girls had their end of the year band concert...Band wasn't Loa's favorite thing but she played her trumpet and made it through.

Lytzi missed the last few days of school because she had to get her tonsils out and it was the only time we were able to do it because of all our summer plans.

Linq had the best 1st grade class and will really miss it!

We made Lytzi come and join the last day of school picture --everyone was excited to get the summer started!

Mothers Day + a Driver

This was the only picture we got on Mothers Day...I spent the day cooking, taking care of everyone and making treats and delivering to friends --basically all the 'motherly' things!

Laexin has been driving on and off since he was around 12, that's just what tends to happen in the country - ha ha.  He officially finished his drivers ed and got his learning permit in May - he's only supposed to drive with an adult and all sorts of rules but basically he acts like he has a full permit  ...i'm not gonna lie, it's nice to have someone who can run errands and drive himself around!

Loa's YW Retreat

Loa has really loved being in Young Womens!  In the spring they planned a weekend retreat - looks like they really had a blast.

Track

Both Laexin and Loa did Track this spring...it was busy and fun!  With track starting in April you never know if a meet is going to be hot or bring snow!

They both like jumping!  Laexin got pretty good at the triple jump and continues to do great in the hurdles...once in a while they stick him in a relay and he likes that too.
Loa learned 1/2 way through the season that she's a pretty natural jumper also!  Her coach seemed to stick her in the 1 mile a lot which she hated, but I was proud of her for always finishing!

April Randoms

These kids could live on sushi!  Sushi stacks are common dinner choice :)

They had a little book fair/grandparent night at the school and the kids got to sing...apparently Linq was cold, ha ha

The kids in our stake were preparing for Trek so they had a night where they got to learn all the pioneer dances - it was a fun time!
