March Misc.

An Early morning drive to the city to see Laex compete in his first track meet which just happened to be in Herriman.  Although this was the only pic I took - it was a chilly windy day, Jen was able to stop by for a bit and it was awesome to catch up with her...then on our way home we had to stop in Farmington to load up my booth

More 'beauties of the earth' --if pictures could only show how amazing the moon really looked!

Loa wend into YW in January and was SO excited -- they have done some really fun activities, during march they decorated cupcakes.

There is a guy on Facebook who posts old pictures of the Vernal area from years ago - this one popped up with my dad in it and I had to show it to the kids...they couldn't believe that was their Papa!  He's the one in the turtleneck.

Welcome to March

LeGrand made a big deal this particular morning because Loa was the first one down for breakfast --it's pretty well known at our place that Loa is generally pulling up the rear -she just gets distracted and forgets what she's supposed to be doing - ha ha!

The last couple of months of school I'm pretty sure that Linq was eating his glue sticks - about every other week I would get a text that he needed more.

Early in the year I had decided to try and fit in a couple more shows, it was an really an experiment to see if I could find any more that I like and also to add to what I was already doing.  I worked my butt off and did a show in Farmington which turned out to be a total bust - it's hard to put so much time and energy into something and then have it feel like a waste.  In the end, I am grateful for what I learned - one of which was a new display, and I'm glad to know I won't have to try that show again!

For St. Pattys day we had green waffles and green milk

And of course my holiday tree got a rainbow and clover theme

The most spoiled member of this household...but how can you not just love her!

Winter Picnic

This is when you know winter is has gotten extra long...The kids just really wanted to have a picnic/art party outside, even though there was snow on the ground and it wasn't that warm they made it happen :)

One day Linq came in all bundled up and sat in windowsill in the sunshine trying to get warm while eating his snacks, ha ha!

Grammie and Papa's farewell

The weekend after we got back from our trip we headed to Vernal for Grammie and Papa's mission farewell.  Kenz and Dellah surprised my parents and flew in from Texas - it was just us and them there.

The kids had fun swimming in the hotel pool and we had a good time hanging out - it was a short and sweet weekend but we are glad we could make it.  They leave in March but needed extra weeks in between so that they could quarantine before heading to the MTC.

I was sad that we headed for home and totally forgot to even get a picture of us all together.

Costa Rica

The middle of February we were able to go to Costa Rica with our great friends - the Davenports!  We had an amazing time!!  While we were gone my parents came and spent the 10 days with the kids, it was a perfect opportunity since they would be leaving on their mission in March.  I will make a separate book about our trip - it was such an incredible time!

February Fun!

Always finding Lytzi selfies on my phone 💕

One Sunday during 'quiet time' Lytzi created this clay playground ...she was so proud of it!

Lytz had been begging for some pink hair - we finally did it and she fit right in for Valentines day!

Laex finally got his braces off - it was a little anticlimactic because he was now toothless --with the braces on he was able to hid the fact that one of his teeth was missing.  They just had the bracket attached to his fake tooth so you couldn't even tell.  He said more people at school noticed that he was missing a tooth then that he had gotten his braces off, ha ha.

They were able to attach his tooth to a retainer - the downside is he as to wear it all the time or he will be toothless but he his getting used to it and it looks much better than without the tooth...he will need an implant someday but isn't eligible until after he is 18

It isn't hard to see god in the details of this beautiful valley - everyday we see the beauties - even in the cold cold winters!

Snow + Concrete

The kids couldn't get enough of the Snow fun - January stayed plenty snowy

The night I got home from New Mexico through that horrible snowstorm, my car was caked with snow...the next morning the laundry room and my office were flooded --aaaah!  Apparently the concrete guys forgot to taper the garage floor and so all the melt off ran into the house...Greg was awesome, had his guys up here as soon as possible the they were tearing out and replacing my garage floor in the dead of winter the beginning of January!

It was a mess - and I felt bad that we were already having to deal with this in our new house, but when it was done it was great!  It has drained amazingly all winter - we are so thankful for Greg, he always goes the extra mile for us!
